The coffee world is bigger than the U.S. market suggests.
• 87 coffee-producing countries and territories are represented in our global coffee atlas.
• Only 50 appear as producing origins in 2025 U.S. import data.
• Just 7 countries supply 80.5% of the green coffee imported into the United States.
• The other 43 represented origins share less than 20% of the market.
• Some distinctive growing regions—such as the Canary Islands, Azores, and Galápagos—aren’t separately visible in national import statistics.
Together, the 44 origins that account for less than 5% of U.S. imports make up the Sabicea Coffee Universe—our Underrepresented, Rare, and Very Rare origins.
As Sabicea grows, we also intend to explore documented coffee-producing origins with no direct U.S. import record at all.

partners are excluded from the origin-focused display;
classification uses share of total reported U.S. imports.
Decaf should not be a compromise.
• In 2025, just five trade partners accounted for nearly 80% of U.S. green-decaf imports.
• Trade partner does not always mean agricultural origin—Germany alone accounted for 18.8% of reported imports.
• Every SABICEA decaf will have a traceable agricultural origin.
• We will identify both where the coffee was grown and where and how it was decaffeinated.
• As SABICEA grows, we intend to seek decafs from origins that are underrepresented—or absent entirely—in the U.S. decaf market.
Decaf should not be a compromise—in flavor, origin, or transparency.

Transparency, Documented.
You should know what you’re drinking—and why we chose it.
Every Sabicea coffee will include:
Documented origin — where the coffee was actually grown, not simply where it was exported or processed.
Documented processing — washed, natural, honey, decaffeination method, or other relevant processing.
Independent cupping — every coffee will be evaluated separately from the supplier or importer’s tasting notes.
Original cupping documentation — our actual evaluation record will be available on the website, not just the finished flavor description.
Clear provenance — additional information such as producer, farm, cooperative, region, variety, and lot will be provided whenever it can be verified.
